Workspace preferences and defaults
A workspace is the container for your accounts, posts, and team members. Most preferences live inside the workspace and can be tuned without restarting the app.
Publish defaults
Open Settings → Publish defaults in the desktop app.
- Default visibility — Public / Unlisted / Private. Applies to platforms that support visibility (YouTube, Facebook).
- Auto-tag with workspace name — adds a hashtag like
#mybrandto every post. - Disclaimer footer — optional text appended to long-form posts.
Retention windows
Control how long StreamX keeps post history locally:

Anything past the retention window is purged from the local cache. The platform side (YouTube etc.) keeps your real posts forever as usual.
Team workspaces
Available on Team plan. Click Workspaces → New Team Workspace:
- Invite up to 5 teammates by email
- Assign roles: Owner / Editor / Viewer
- Shared accounts are visible to all members
- Each member's actions are logged in the audit log
To upgrade a personal workspace into a team workspace, click Workspaces → Convert to Team.
