Built by operators, for operators.
A small team that lived the social-media-management problem from the inside — and got tired of the trade-offs every existing tool forced on them.
Why we built StreamX
The existing tools all asked the same thing: hand over your audience, your content, your tone, and your judgment to a server you don't control. In exchange, they offered features that mostly amounted to "do less manual work."
That trade looked obvious in 2015. After a decade of breaches, vendor shutdowns, surprise pricing hikes, and AI features that got worse the more people complained — it doesn't look obvious anymore.
We built StreamX on the opposite premise: your operating data is yours, your AI runs on your hardware, and the platform's job is to give you better tools — not to be a middleman holding your audience hostage.
Four values that decide everything
When a feature trade-off is hard, we lean on these. They're not posters — they're tiebreakers.
Privacy is non-negotiable
If a feature requires uploading your audience data, we ship a worse feature. Local-first or nothing.
Less, but sharper
We'd rather ship six tools you use every day than 60 you forget exist.
Honest with operators
Operators see through fluffy marketing instantly. We tell you what works, what doesn't, and why.
Speed is the feature
Local execution means zero queue, zero rate-limit-by-vendor, zero waiting. The fastest path is the right path.
The five people building this
A small, opinionated team with operator backgrounds.
Alex Chen
Ex-product at a major social platform. Tired of cloud lock-in.
Bo Liang
Distributed-systems engineer. Believes the laptop is the future.
Cara Smith
Local-first ML researcher. Quantization & inference specialist.
Daniel Wu
Ran social ops at a 50k-follower brand for five years.
Elena Rivera
Designer turned PM. Obsessed with operator workflows.
Where we've been
The last 18 months, in five moments.
Founded
Started as a side project to run a friend's brand. The current product is what we wished we'd had.
Local AI prototype
First quantized model running on a laptop. The result was good enough that we knew local-first was viable.
Closed alpha
50 hand-picked operators across 6 platforms gave us 14 months of brutal honest feedback.
Public beta
Opened the doors. Two thirds of beta sign-ups came from word of mouth in operator communities.
1.0 release
Where we are now. Free tier opens, six platforms supported, local AI engine bundled.
Press & media
Brand assets, executive bios, screenshots, and embargoed announcement requests.
